Guru Pūrṇimā
Honoring the Guru & Lineage
July 18th, 2027
Guru Pūrṇimā is Yoga’s sacred day of honoring the Guru—the one who dispels darkness and illuminates the way forward.
Across cultures and throughout history, humanity has depended upon those rare individuals whose wisdom reaches beyond the knowledge of their time. In Yoga, this relationship is preserved through Paramparā—a living lineage through which wisdom is embodied and passed from teacher to student. Guru Pūrṇimā honors those who have carried that light forward, generation after generation.
At Sat Manav, guests are invited to encounter this ancient relationship through teaching, meditation, and sacred ceremony—and to consider its enduring importance. For when wisdom is preserved and lived, its light reaches far beyond a single teacher or student; it helps illuminate the path of humanity itself.

MEDITATION
The Guru Principle
Experience a guided meditation on the Guru as the principle of illumination—the movement from darkness toward understanding. Personal reflection throughout the Ashram creates space to consider where wisdom, guidance, and greater clarity arise in your own life.
LIVING TRADITION
Guru & Lineage
Hear the story of Sat Manav’s Gurus, the traditions from which they emerged, and the journey that gave rise to the Ashram in Maine. Discover how an ancient lineage becomes something living—carried through people and practice, one generation to the next.
